Starting in....

I'm on sabbatical this year, and will be spending some time at two other universities with graduate programs in international affairs: the University of Sydney and the University of Hong Kong. I thought this would be a good opportunity to start a blog, containing my thoughts about developments in Asia, and about U.S. relations with the Asia-Pacific region. It's timely for another reason as well: American relations with Asia are now in flux, as a result of the current financial crisis and the transition from the Bush Administration to the Obama Administration.
